Changing Your Phone or Address !!

Please remember to let us know your new mobile phone number or home phone number or address. Without up to date information we cannot send you text reminders or contact you.

calendar_pen.jpgPlease telephone the Surgery between 08:30 - 11:00 if you would like an appointment for that day. There are also a limited number of appointments that are available if you would like to see a doctor at some future date. The Non clinical support team are here to answer any queries you may have. Please remember that at certain times of the day the telephones and waiting rooms can be very busy and that certain requests may have to be prioritised. Please be patient - our intention is always to help and answer as quickly as we can. New systems are being evaluated to help us improve the service.

The automated telephone system is available 24 hours a day to book  available appointments with your own GP or the practice nurse. Dial 209300, press Option 1 and follow the instructions to use this service.

Please be prepared to give the receptionist some details of your illness.

Telephone Advice

As far as possible, these requests should be made before 11:00 on the day that you require assistance. Please do not be put off by the receptionist asking you questions about the problem and your details, they have been asked to do this by the doctors who will already be engaged with other patients when you call. A doctor will call you back later that day. Please be aware that you although you may be given a specific appointment time for a telephone consultation it is not always possible for the GP to contact you at the exact time as emergencies can happen during surgery. The GP's will endeavour to contact you within 2 hours of your booked slot.

Practice Nurses/Nurse Practitioners/Acute Care Team

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a Practice Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or the Acute Care Team rather than a doctor. Our practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions - click here for more details..

Education & Training

The practice is accredited as a training centre for doctors wishing to train as General Practitioners.

The practice also helps to train medical students who, on occasion and only with your approval, may accompany doctors or nurses in the Consulting rooms or on home visits.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Patients who do not attend three booked appointments within a six month period, without good reason will be removed from the surgery patient list
